The Florida Playground Conservancy Series Catalog
Park Benches
Each recycled plank in our Conservancy Series springs from lowly beginnings - discarded plastics and wood chips! Gathered. Pulverized. Heated. Blended. Extruded. It's New! It's Renewed! It's Recycled! Planks are then individually worked and finished by skilled craftsmen to resemble natural timber. Flecks of wood fiber are left exposed, adding texture and visual appeal. Extremely popular for its handsome appearance and durability. Our standard color is natural which is extruded beige in color and weathers to an attractive gray. (Similar to cedar wood) The ALPINE BENCH is a traditional design, using 2"x4" planks on a heavy 2-3/8" OD hot-dipped galvanized steel pipe frame with ends capped.
The SAVANNA BENCH is a simply styled, comfortably contoured design, attractive in park and urban settings. Features 2"x4" planks, 2-1/2" square tube legs welded to a 3"x3/8" contoured steel support. Finish is hot-dipped galvanized or black enamel.
THE PIEDMONT BENCH features large 4"x4" planks in a popular contemporary backless design. A versatile bench for many settings. Comes in FLAT (4 plank) or CONTOURED (5 plank) styles, galvanized or enamel frames, 6' or 8' in length. Secure on 4"x4" steel tubing. FLAT BACKLESS (4 PLANK)
CONTOURED BACKLESS (5 PLANK)
Our SHELTERED BENCH is framed by massive 6"x6" steel uprights (with black enamel finish) that support a 64 square foot roof. Superior quality gray fiberglass shingles are dimensional for a "shake-style" appearance. Fascia board is pressure treated pine. Price: $1385.00. Note: Recycled Materials are impervious to water, soil acidity and ultraviolet damage normally experienced with similar products. They will not splinter or crack. They have superior hardware holding ability and superior slip resistance characteristics when compared to other recycled planks. They perform in all climates and weather conditions. The material will accept paint, stain or water sealant, if desired. It is non-toxic and will not leach or contaminate soil or water. However, if ignited, it will burn (the smoke is similar to that of burning wood or kerosene). Because the material will soften as it burns, these planks are not recommended for general interior structural applications.
